Principled
The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated
- William James

A principled person acts with respect, honesty, and justice for an individual and a community.

I volunteered at Greenfield Bilingual’s CLC Program. The program consisted of a diverse population aging from 4 to 15 year olds. As the leader of the volunteer program, my goal consisted of helping students succeed throughout the subjects of English, Math, and Science. I respected all students equally, and gave the necessary care to fit into the community. A school should always teach students to have justice and respect towards the people of color, because a diverse community is needed among the people of color.

In high school, I am able to equally have respect for all students since I do attend a diversed high school. Personally, I have not been in the position where I don't fit in, becasuse I have attended diversed schools in low income communities However, I have seen other high schools in higher income communities, where the disversed percentage is very low. Students feel insecure attending those type of high schools, because the feel unfroctoable being the one person of color in the classroom. However, in Reagan I am able to fit in as well as other new people who join the school.
