Ethical Dilemma 

The ethical dilemma question was whether adolescents should have the right to abort without a parents consent or should the law ban the rights to an abortion.

Viewpoints of Ethical Dilemma Question 

Viewpoint # 1: Minors should not be able to get an abortion without a parents consent, because they should be responsible for their own mistakes and not kill a human. Also, minors run riskier health consequences.  

Viewpoint #2: An adolescent should have the right to abort without a parents consent because informing parents about such personal decision will not improve family communication, but will delay receiving the appropriate medical care (Mccarthy, 2017)

 

Why I choose it? How it relates to your career? 

For the past decades, abortion has been a controversial topic. People believe babies should be able to live because it's not their faults their mothers got pregnant, but others oppose. However, abortion ties into my future career as a Physician Assistant, because they help out in the necessary procedures to obtain an abortion and give woman advice whether or not they still feel comfortable accomplishing one.
